Golghar

John Garstin of the Bengal Engineers, a unit of the Bengal Army of the East India Company, created the beehive-shaped building which is an enormous granary, after the terrible impact of the 1770 famine. The winding stairway around this monument offers a brilliant view of the city and the Ganga flowing nearby.

It is located just 1.9 kms away from our hotel and can be visited throughout the day.

Patna Museum

The Jadu Ghar is a historical museum that was built on 3 April 1917 under the British Raj to store historical artifacts discovered nearby in Patna. Its design is influenced by Mughal and Rajput architecture.

The multipurpose museum features artifacts from Hindu and Buddhist artists as well as archaeological finds, coins, paintings, instruments, textiles, thankas, and bronze and terra cotta sculptures. In addition to a fine collection relating to Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, the museum features a rare collection of British-era paintings illustrating everyday life. It also houses a gun from World War One.

The entry fee is INR 15 for Indians and INR 250 for foreigners. For photos and videos, you have to take tickets.

It is located just 1.2 kms or a 5 minute drive away from our hotel and can be visited any time between 10:30 am – 4:30 pm between Tuesday to Sunday.

Buddha Smriti Park

An urban park called Buddha Smriti Park, also known as Buddha Memorial Park (in English), is situated on Frazer Road close to Patna Junction in Patna, India. This park was created by the Bihar Government and Vikram Lall to celebrate the 2554th anniversary of the Buddha's birth. The 14th Dalai Lama inaugurated the park on 27th May 2010.

The park has a museum, where Buddhist relics from Japan, Myanmar, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. The park is also having meditation hall for prayers.

The entry charge is ₹ 20 per individual be it child or an elder person and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am – 7 pm.

Bihar Museum

ISKCON Temple

Sri Radha Banke Bihari Ji Mandir, also known as the ISKCON Temple, Patna, is a respected temple devoted to Lord Krishna that is situated on Budh Marg in Patna. This two-acre temple is 108 feet tall, has multiple stories, and is supported by 84 pillars. The walls of the temple are adorned with exquisite styles of carvings and embellishments, showcasing different facets of the life of Shri Krishna.

The morning aarti is performed at 4:30 am, followed by several devotional lectures and addresses for devotees conducted on a regular basis.

A meditation and spiritual center, an auditorium, a restaurant, a guest house, and various other multi-purpose halls are part of the premises.

The entry is free and is open every day of the week from 4:30 am-5 am, 7:30 am – 1 pm and then 4:30 pm – 8:45 pm.
